A Mysterious Xiaomi 5G Phone Pays a Visit on TENAA, Could it be Mi MIX 4/3s?

It seems that Chinese giant Xiaomi is working on a new 5G smartphone as the Chinese regulatory website, TENAA, has certified a new device from the company. According to reports, a device with the model number M1908F1XE has popped up on the TENAA, which is the Chinese equivalent of the FCC, suggesting that its release is on the cards.

The TENAA listing reveals that the mystery Xiaomi smartphone will support 5G. The report further suggests that this could be the Mi MIX 4/3s smartphone. The support for 5G makes it quite evident that it could be the successor of the Mi MIX 3 phone.

To recall, Xiaomi had unveiled Mi Mix 2 in October 2017 and in March 2018, the company launched an upgraded edition named Mi MIX 2S. It is worth to mention that the Mi MIX 2S had a model number of M1803D5XE which similar to the newly spotted M1908F1XE 5G handset.

Recently, Xiaomi’s Product Director Wang Teng Thomas had claimed that that the upcoming Mi MIX phone will launch with faster wireless charging than the Xiaomi Mi 9. The Mi 9 comes with 20W fast wireless charging technology. Thus, the forthcoming Mi MIX device is expected to feature rapid wireless charging tech which is likely to surpass 20W.

XDA Developers’s recent report hinted that the Xiaomi’s upcoming Snapdragon 855 SoC powered phone is codenamed, Hercules. Furthermore, the handset outfitted with triple cameras on the rear and a single shooter on the front for selfies. Other rumored features of the smartphone include an in-display fingerprint scanner, wireless charging, and NFC. The upcoming Mi Mix 4 (aka Xiaomi Hercules) might come equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor as none of the Mi MIX series of smartphones have featured an in-screen fingerprint sensor.
