Apple iPhone XR goes on sale today in India and global markets: Top launch offers,availability and more

The cheapest phone of 2018 Apple launch event has finally gone for sale today in India and global markets as well. The smartphone will go on sale in India post 6 pm IST today via both offline and online stores. The Apple iPhone XR went for pre-booking in the previous week via authorised resellers and online platforms. The phone will also go on sale in the US, Canada, and major European markets, among others, for the first time on Friday.

The device comes in three memory storage variants similar to the iPhone XS. The base variant with 64GB storage is priced at Rs 76,900, while the 128GB variant will retail at Rs 81,900. The biggest 256GB storage model of iPhone XR will be available at Rs 91,900. And the affordable iPhone XR available in stunning six colours namely: black, white, blue, yellow, coral and (PRODUCT)RED.

Availability and Launch Offers

The Apple iPhone XR is available from 6:00 PM today cross Apple’s authorised resellers including Unicorn, Ingram and Reddington. The buyers who already prebooked the handset can get to their delivery address place. And Interested buyers can also pre-order and purchase the iPhone XR via different online platforms like Airtel, Reliance Jio, Amazon India, Flipkart and Paytm Mall.

Moving to launch offers, Airtel is offering customers iPhone XR with down payments starting at Rs 14,999. iPhone XR can also be availed with EMI options and bundled Airtel postpaid plans. Flipkart customers had an exclusive exchange offer where they can exchange their old handsets and get up to Rs 16,000 off along with no cost EMI starting at Rs 2,555 per month. Paytm Mall also has an exchange offer on the iPhone XR with up to Rs 7,000 off.

Specifications and features

The iPhone XR features a 6.1-inch LCD display unlike the more expensive OLED display on the iPhone XS series. The handset runs on the Apple’s A12 Bionic chip under the hood. The smartphone also houses its innovative notch on its display and has support for Face ID. The phone lacks 3D Touch but comes with this feature Apple calls ‘haptic touch’.

On the imaging duties, The smartphone has a single rear camera with 12-megapixel wide-angle with OIS, f/1.8 aperture and True Tone flash. For selfies, it has the same camera setup as the iPhone XS duo. There’s a 7-megapixel TrueDepth camera with f/2.2 aperture and Retina Flash.

iPhone XR comes with an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. The phone all ticks by a 2,942mAh battery under the hood, with a bundled 5W charger in the box. In terms of connectivity, The smartphone includes 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and Wi-Fi. It also supports dual-SIM where the secondary slot is an eSIM.
