Apple to add 70 new emojis to iPhones with iOS 12.1 update,will come to watchOS and MacOs soon

The Second iOS 12.1 beta version was released by the Apple yesterday, and this release has come for few reasons. Firstly, it comes with the fix of charging issue that surfaced a few days ago. The new update also brought a pack of 70 new emoji, which have been made available in the developer and public beta previews of iOS 12.1. The company states that all iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac users will get this emojis as a software update later this year.

While these 70 emojis are all part of the Emoji 11.0 standard list, including new characters with red hair, grey hair and curly hair, a new emoji for bald people, more emotive smiley faces and additional emoji representing animals, sports and food. These emoji are currently supported in the latest operating system releases from Google and Samsung and are coming in the October build of Windows 10.

Apple is also working with Unicode Consortium to add more disability-themed emojis to Unicode 12.0, which will release in 2019. Apple says that in addition to iPhones and iPads getting the new emojis in iOS 12.1, they’ll come to watchOS and macOS in software updates, too.

Apple launched its new operating system iOS 12, macOS 10.14 Mojave and watchOS 5.0. The operating systems will soon receive a minor update, which adds the new Unicode 11.0 approved emojis.

For sports and adventure lovers, Apple is adding new emojis for softball, frisbee and lacrosse, and new characters for luggage, compass and a hiking boot to accompany the existing climbing emoji.

New wildlife emojis are llama, mosquito, swan and racoon. For foodies, Apple is adding bagel and salt emojis.

Along with new emojis, iOS 12.1 is going to come with a wide range of new features. One of the most anticipated features is dual-SIM support on new iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. Apple will also be adding support for Group FaceTime with the new update.
