Oppo’s recently launched Oppo A3s is going to be available from July 15th on its first sale. This mid-range smartphone offers decent specification and features with glass back, dual rear cameras, and a notched display. Like company’s RealMe1, the Oppo A3s comes with a face unlock features as Oppo skips the fingerprint technology in this device again.

Display

These four phones have a tall display with slim bezels on the sides. The Oppo A3s comes with a 6.2-inch HD+ display with a notch that houses a front camera, earpiece, and sensors. It has an aspect ratio of 19:9 and resolution of 1520x720pixels resolution. The Redmi Note 5 and the Zenfone Max Pro M1 flaunt a 5.99-inch full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio and resolution of 2160×1080pixels. Moto E5 Plus has a 15.2 cm (6) display and 18:9 aspect ratio, HD+ 1440×720pixels display. Lastly, the Redmi Note 5 comes with 15.2-cm (5.99) FHD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio with resolutions of 2160 x 1080 pixels. Moreover, it has the 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass display.

Battery

In terms of battery, Oppo A3s features a 4,230mAh battery. The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 packed with a massive 5000 mAh battery, this phone offers up to 199 hours of music playback, up to 12 hours of gaming and up to 28 hours of Wi-Fi web browsing and moreover, it comes with a 10 W adapter for fast charging. Whereas, Moto E5 Plus comes with 5000mAh battery that gives you up to 18 hours video playback and this device also feature 10W Rapid Charging so that you can get hours of power with just minutes of charge.

Chipset, RAM, and storage

The Oppo A3s is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage, which is expandable via microSD card. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Kryo Octa-core processor and 3 GB/4 GB of RAM, the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 promises great performance without compromising on the speed. It comes with 32GB/64GB storage variants and a dedicated SD card slot to increase the storage space by to up to 2 TB. Moto E5 Plus is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, and an expandable up to 128GB in a dedicated slot. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is powered by a Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage, which is expandable using a microSD card.

Camera

The Oppo A3s features dual rear cameras, a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, and 8-megapixel front camera with AI beauty mode. The Zenfone Max Pro M1 also has a dual-camera setup comprising of a 13-megapixel primary sensor with a 5-megapixel secondary dedicated depth Sensing camera. It also features an 8-megapixel camera at the front with an LED flash. Moto E5 Plus has a 12 megapixels’ single rear camera with the rapid laser autofocus to click great pictures even in low light. Coming to the front camera, it offers 5 MP Selfie Camera with flash.

Operating System

The Oppo A3s runs on the Color OS based on Android 8.0 Oreo. Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 runs on the Android Oreo 8.1. It comes with a near-stock interface and a few pre-installed apps that take your mobile experience to the next level. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 runs on the custom MIUI based Android Nougat 7.1.2, offers several customizable features. Whereas, Moto E5 Plus runs on the Android 8.0 Oreo OS while it gives a pure Android experience.

Price in India

The Zenfone Max Pro M1 price starts at Rs 10,999 for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and Rs 12,999 for 4GB RAM with 64GB storage model. The Oppo A3s is priced at Rs 10,990, and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 prices start at Rs 9,999 for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage model, and Rs 11,999 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage model.

The Oppo A3s is available to purchase from Amazon India, Flipkart, Paytm and offline retail shops. The Moto E5 Plus is an Amazon exclusive product so that you can buy it from Amazon India or from the Moto-Hub stores. Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 is available to purchase from Flipkart. The Redmi Note 5 is available to purchase from Amazon, Flipkart and mi.com through flash sales and you can get it directly from the nearest Mi Home stores.
