| By Shandilya

The most popular brash multiplayer shooting game is now on its way on Android for a while. If your kid is in between 8 and 18 you must be familiar and chances to hear about the multiplayer online shooter Fortnite: Battle Royale. After the Epic games broke news back in the may about its arrival but up to now, there is no word on its release date. Anyhow, a new report finally came up with the list of Android smartphones that the game will run on once it goes live.

A recent report also suggests that Epic games might get collaborated with Samsung to make Fortnite exclusive for the Galaxy Note 9 smartphone for up to a month. while that might still be true, Fortunately, the Epic Games website has listed compatible devices (via XDA-Developers), accessible by clicking “get started”, and logging in with your Epic account.

A list of devices found on the website gives away names close to 40 devices which will be able to run the game once the one-month exclusive license to Galaxy Note 9 users run out. The detailed list includes smartphones like the Google Pixel 2 series, Huawei, LG, Samsung and others. All these devices which you are looking at are absolutely flagship phones have in common is that they all pack powerful enough hardware to run the game.

The game supports flagship phones from LG, Samsung and the like, but there are some interesting omissions. Huawei’s P20 series, the Essential Phone, the LG G7, the 2018 Moto devices, HTC‘s devices, most of the Nokia phones, the OnePlus series, Xiaomi‘s entire lineup, and Sony’s recent flagships are all missing in action.

This is because the Epic games are still in the process of optimising the game for other Android smartphones, a report suggests.

Only a limited number of phones will be able to run the game and evaluating the specifications of the phone it is made of is considered, the minimum requirements for running Fortnite would be a CPU on par with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430, MediaTek MT6737, Exynos 7870 or a HiSilicon Kirin 655. As for GPU requirements, one would need an Adreno 505 and Mali-T720 and at least 3 GB of RAM.

If your smartphone packs the above standards and better hardware you can more or less assure that Fortnite will run on your phone. There is a chance that the missing phones on the list may work just fine. The Fortnite website also lists “other” as an option for Android, suggesting they expect more devices to be compatible than what’s on the initial list.
