Google Announces Pixel 3 Referral Program in India

Google collaborated with Flipkart to launch Pixel 3 Referral Program in India. The referral program allows existing Nexus and Pixel users to refer new Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL to friends and relatives and provide incentives to referrer and the referee.

From today onwards, users of the Google Nexus or Pixel smartphone can refer friends or family to a new Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL. When a user enters a FlipKart application using a Nexus or Pixel smartphone, a special referral banner appears in the application. You must click that banner to redirect to a page that will be useful for both the referrer and referee.

On this page, the existing owners of Pixel or Nexus can enter an email address to register for referral programs. Within 48 hours, customers will receive an email with a unique link that they can be shared or used by themselves. Details of this this offer says referral link can only be activated from start of program date and can be redeemed till end of the redemption date.

The referee with the unique link will redirect to a Flipkart where the code should be verified. As soon as the code is verified, the code will appear in the referee’s Flipkart account until the offer is completed. Reference code can be generated on December 20, 2018, and the referral program ends on December 24, 2018.

According to the offer, each referrer will get a Flipkart gift voucher worth Rs 2,000. Each referee will receive an instant discount of Rs 7,000 on the new Pixel 3 models on Flipkart. and the discount will be higher than the price of the current product. In other words, Pixel 3 is the cheapest for customers who make purchases through this referral program.

The Google Pixel 3 sports a 5.5-inch full-HD+ OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. The notch phone, Pixel 3 XL features a 6.3-inch QHD+ OLED display with a resolution of 1440×2960 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The Pixel 3 is powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor, coupled with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. On the graphics side, the devices pack an Adreno 630 GPU and backed by the 2915 mAh battery. Both these phones run on Android 9.0 Pie.

On the camera department, the Google sticks to its single camera setup on the rear and both the phones features 12.2MP resolution, paired with a wider f/1.8 aperture. Up front, there will be an 8MP + 8MP dual-cam set up. The Pixel 3 will have two front-facing cameras for Google’s “Group Selfie Camera” to get more details and scenes in the frame

The connectivity options of the devices include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with 2×2 MIMO, USB Type-C (v3.1) port, Bluetooth v5.0 + LE, NFC, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and Google Cast.

Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL Price in India

Google Pixel 3 base model with 64GB storage is priced at Rs 71,000 in India while the 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 80,000. Coming to the Pixel 3 XL 64GB and 128GB storage variants, it will cost Rs 83,000 and Rs 92,000 respectively.
