The Honor 50 phone has been launched in Malaysia. The smartphone is among the first from Honor to feature Google Mobile Services (GMS), providing access to Google Play Store as a preinstalled resource.Honor 50

Honor 50 pricing, availability

In Malaysia, the Honor 50 costs RM 1,999 (approx. Rs 36,000). During the introductory offer, customers who preorder the smartphone will also receive the Honor Earbuds 2 Lite true wireless earbuds, a cover, and an extended warranty. Among the four color options are Honor Code, Midnight Black, Emerald Green, and Frost Crystal. There’s no word on the smartphone’s availability in international markets including India.

Honor 50 specifications

In addition to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, the Honor 50 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G SoC. It has a 6.57-inch OLED display that offers full HD+ resolution, 21:9 aspect ratio. The screen is curved at the two edges and comes with a centrally aligned drill hole slot for the front camera.

The smartphone’s back camera setup includes a 108MP primary sensor, an 8MP secondary camera, a pair of 2MP sensors alongwith the LED flash. The rear camera is also capable of recording 4K video. Upfront, there is a 32MP sensor for selfies.

In terms of battery, the Honor 50 has a 4,300mAh capacity with 66W fast charging. The phone runs Magic UI 4.2 skin. In terms of dimensions, it measures 7.78mm in thickness and weighs 175 grams.
