Honor Play 3 Goes Official: Specifications, Features and Price

Huawei has officially launched new member in its Play-series, Honor Play 3 in home country China alongside the much-anticipated Kirin 810-powered Honor 20s.

Honor Play 3 Specifications

The Honor Play 3 boasts a 6.39-inch punch-hole display. The display present on the handset supports HD+ resolution (720×1560 pixels) and it has up to 90% screen ratio. The rear panel of the new phone uses a unique starlight rhythmic texture, such as the streamer that the meteor draws in the night sky. The octa-core Kirin 710F SoC is powering the device with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. Its 4,000mAh battery is coupled with 10W fast charging. The handset runs the company’s own EMUI 9.1 which is based on the Android 9 Pie.

The Honor Play 3 also flaunts triple cameras at the rear with 48-megapixel primary snapper with f/1.79 aperture, an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel depth of field sensor. Upfront, there is an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.

Other features on the handset include face unlock, in-display fingerprint scanner, dual SIM card slots, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, GPU Turbo 2.0 “full scene acceleration engine”, Ark compiler, EROFS super file system, Link Turbo, AI smart communication and several other company’s own technologies.

Honor Play 3 Price

The Honor Play 3 will be offered in two variants – 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 4GB RAM and 128GB storage and a top-end model with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. Honor Play 3 price starts from 999 yuan (roughly converts to Rs. 10,015) for its base variant and 1299 yuan (roughly converts to Rs. 13,041) for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. At last, the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant is priced at 1299 yuan (approx. Rs 13,041). For the time being, the Honor Play 3 will be available in China only and the company hasn’t revealed anything about Honor Play 3 launch in India.
