Huawei Mate 20 Lite with 6.3-inch display and Kirin 710 SoC goes official

Huawei is gearing up to launch its next-generation Mate-series smartphones which include Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, and Mate 20 Lite at some point in the later year. We have already witnessed many leaks and rumours on the upcoming handsets. Among this, the Mate 20 Lite is already unveiled in n Poland and prepared to go on a sale. The two e-commerce sites in Poland and Germany have started taking pre-orders for the Huawei Mate 20 Lite.

Specifications and features

The e-tailer has revealed price, specifications and images of the Mate 20 Lite. As per the retailers, the Huawei Mate 20 Lite comes as a mid-range offering. The smartphone sports a 6.3-inch IPS display bearing a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels and a notch above the screen. The phone is hooked with a 12nm Kirin 710 SoC, the new processor uses four Cortex-A73 cores with a clock speed of 2.2GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores with a clock speed of 1.7GHz. And coupled by 4GB of RAM and storage capacity on board is 64GB, which can be further expanded up to 256GB by inserting a microSD card.

In previous leaks renders, that the smartphone sports a 6GB RAM which might available in other regions. In terms of optics, the phone sports four cameras – two at both the front and rear. On the rear end, the phone has a 24MP primary snapper, aided by a 2MP secondary shooter. On the front, you get a 20-megapixel camera, accompanied by a 2MP secondary snapper.

The connective options include 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and GPS. Software-wise, the phone boots Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI on top. It is fuelled by a 3,750mAh battery keeps the handset running.

Expected pricing

The Mate 20 has been priced at PLN 1,599 which is approx.Rs 30,600. On pre-order, the handset will be shipped in September. The smartphone is being offered in three colour variants – black, gold, and blue.
