Huawei to Launch First TV in April with Dual Cameras

Popular Chinese giant Huawei, which has already made a significant mark in the smartphone market, would launch a smart TV. According to the new report, Huawei is set to launch their first TV and hoping to kill a few popular TV brands such as Samsung, LG, and Sony.

 

Coming to the launch date of Huawei’s first TV, the company is likely to launch April 2019, though there is no specific date for now. Surprisingly, Huawei’s upcoming first TV will not just be simple TVs, but they will be a sort of home hubs with special social and gaming features. As per the sources, the Huawei’s first TV be equipped with dual cameras. The cameras included on the frame will be used for video chats and streaming.

“Huawei’s goal for the TV industry is to sell 10 million units a year, which would make them first in the industry.” The same supply chain executive said that Huawei TV might possibly be equipped with dual cameras, as well as gaming and communication.

The executive went on to state that, “Huawei is not only focused on consumer TVs but is also looking to expand itself into the field of commercial TVs.”

The Huawei TVs might launch in 55 and 65-inch variants and the displays of the TVs are expected to be manufactured by BOE and Shenzhen China Star Optoelectronics. Moreover, the company is targeting 10 million annual sales. Earlier it was reported that another Chinese smartphone maker, OnePlus is also launching the smart TV in 2020.
