Huawei Y9 Prime (2019) With A Pop-Up Selfie Camera Announced

Huawei has silently unveiled the Huawei Y9 Prime (2019) smartphone in China. The new smartphone is a successor of the last year’s Huawei Y9 Prime (2018) phone.

Having the pop-up selfie camera is the latest trend, and Huawei has decided to join the bandwagon as well. Even though the Huawei P Smart Z with a pop-up selfie camera setup is already launched, this is the second device from Huawei to feature pop-up selfie shooter. It is worth to mention that the Huawei Y9 Prime (2019) is listed on official Huawei’s website and it is expected to go on sale soon.

Huawei Y9 Prime (2019) Specifications

On the front is a 6.59-inch display with Full HD+ resolution. The smartphone boasts a screen resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and 391ppi pixel density. It comes with a HiSilicon Kirin 710 processor along with 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage. For authentication, it features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, as well as face unlock.

The Huawei Y9 Prime (2019)  includes a triple rear camera setup consisting of: a 16-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 aperture for depth-sensing. Up front, it has a 16-megapixel pop-up selfie camera for selfies.

As per the listing, the handset ships with Android 9 Pie based EMUI 9.0 and is backed by a 4000mAh battery. The phone will be available for buyers in Black, Green, and Blue color options.
