iPhone 2019 Rumors: Upcoming iPhone Might Come with Five New Features

Apple is expected to launch new iPhone models in September 2019, and rumors about the new devices are already circulating. Earlier leaks give us an idea of what to expect from the new iPhones. The previous report also hinted the same, but the design of the revealed device was slightly different, suggesting that it might be another model from Apple.

According to the reports, atleast two of the upcoming iPhones (believed to be iPhone XI series) might feature a triple-rear camera setup and now, a new report by iCTech has revealed five features that the device could ship with. Weibo post of the iCTech reveals, the 2019 iPhone lineup might sport a triple-lens camera with 3x telephoto lens, reduced TrueDepth camera notch, 4000mAh battery, 15W wireless charging support and a screen with 90 to 120Hz refresh rate. Moreover, a report by MacRumours suggests that the upcoming iPhone XR will support better internet speeds as it might come with 4×4 MIMO (multiple-input, multiple-output) antenna design.

The first feature of the upcoming iPhone is said to the triple camera setup with 3x telephoto lens. This seems to be true as the render from Digit confirms the same. Coming to the 3x telephoto lens, the iPhone XS and XS Max are armed with 2x telephoto lenses thus the 3x telephoto lens in upcoming iPhone model is not so surprising. Additionally, the current iPhone XS, XS Max and the iPhone XR backs 2658 mAh, 3174 mAh and 2942 mAh respectively. Apple is likely to increase the battery capacity to 4000mAh for the top-end iPhone launching in 2019. However, we suggest you take this info with a pinch of salt since iCTech didn’t reveal its source.

The successor of iPhone XR, if equipped with 4×4 MIMO antennas, no doubt it will support better internet connectivity and speeds. The current iPhone XS and XS Max sports a Gigabit-class LTE with 4×4 MIMO antennas, while the iPhone XR gets a 2×2 MIMO setup that makes it lag behind its siblings.

The Weibo report also claims that the upcoming iPhones might support 90 to 120Hz screen refresh rate. Apple iPad Pro already has a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and it seems reasonable that more smartphone manufacturers are choosing high refresh rate same, Apple could opt for the same.

The earlier renders of the iPhone XI also revealed a reduced notch on the front of the device. Apple is expected to be shifting to a refreshed TrueDepth array with a 10MP camera. The next iPhones might also be upgraded with 15W fast wireless charging. However, the way thermals will be managed remains to be seen.
