Meizu Note 8 with 6-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 632, dual rear cameras announced

Meizu launched its latest mid-range smartphone Note 8 an alternative to the X8.AS promised the new device features a dual camera on its back, a slightly smaller screen, slightly bigger battery than the X8 where comes to price with the lowest price that is one-third of the X8 price.

The smartphone has a 6-inch Full HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display, is powered by Snapdragon 632 with 4GB of RAM, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with flyme OS on top. This phone is currently available for pre-order and expected shipping could be next month. As for now, there is no word whether it will be launched globally.

Pricing

The Meizu Note 8 has been priced at CNY 1,298 (roughly Rs. 13,700) in China. The pre-orders for the smartphone has already started on the company’s website, and the sales will start on November 1. Notably, the handset has a metal body and comes in four colour options – Dark, Gray Blue, Smoke Purple, and Flame Red.

The Meizu Note 8 will flaunts a a 6-inch notch free display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 1,080 x 2,160px resolution. It should deliver 450 nits of brightness and 1,500:1 contrast ratio.

The smartphone is armed by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz, paired with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The phone comes with 64GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB).

For photography, the Meizu Note 8 bears a dual camera setup with 12-megapixel primary sensor with dual PDAF and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor, with f/1.9 aperture. At the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. The smartphone is also equipped with facial recognition technology. Alternatively, you can use the fingerprint reader on the back.

The Note 8 has a 3,600mAh battery with 18W fast charging (mCharge), which, unfortunately, uses the micro USB port. It puts the 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom.
