Moto G8 Power passes through FCC, may launch soon

Back in October, Motorola unveiled the Moto G8 series. At the time, this series includes Moto G8 Plus and Moto G8 Play. However, recent information claims that the company will add a new phone to the G8 series. A smartphone named Motorola G8 Power has received FCC certification. According to the listing, this smartphone comes with model number “XT2041-4”.

According to the FCC’s documents, the Moto G8 Power (XT2041-4) will pack a 5,000mAh battery. The smartphone measures 157.9 x 75.8 mm. The phone will feature a 6.2-inch or 6.3-inch display.

Recently, the handset was also spotted on Wi-Fi alliance certification, where some of its key specifications were listed. On Wi-Fi alliance certification, the handset was seen running on Android 10 and it revealed the support for 5G Wi-Fi and dual-band 2.4G.

The forthcoming Moto G8 Power is tipped to be powered by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 665 SoC. The Moto G8 Plus which launched earlier this year is also equipped with the same chipset. To recall, the company recently launched a new Moto One Hyper in Brazil which has some impressive specs onboard.

Motorola One Hyper Specifications

Motorola One Hyper has a 6.5-inch display with Full HD+ resolution. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 675 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. The phone has a microSD card slot for further expansion of storage up to 1TB.

As for the cameras, the Motorola One Hyper comes with dual rear cameras. The setup includes 64-megapixel primary lens with f/1.9 aperture, EIS, PDAF and an 8-megapixel Ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture, Laser autofocus (TOF). On the front, One Hyper has a pop-up selfie camera of 32-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture.

The device packs a 4,000mAh battery with 45W Hyper charging, has USB Type-C port at the base. It comes with Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, NFC and runs on Android 10 OS.
