Nubia Red Magic 3 with Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC to Launch Soon

Nubia launched Nubia Red Magic 3 smartphone in India recently, and the company is already teasing another launch. Nubia’s next smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 Plus processor.

Nubia has posted a photo on Weibo which hints at the launch of the new phone. The caption says the smartphone is “coming soon” and includes a poster that shows the Snapdragon 855 Plus processor.

Talking about the Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, this new chipset from Qualcomm launched earlier this week and it is built for gaming. This chipset comes with the cutting edge performance, improved graphics, an uplift in CPU performance, and robust 4G and 5G connectivity. Snapdragon 855+ boasts 15% faster graphics rendering and an uplift in CPU performance over the standard Snapdragon 855. Utilizing all cores, Snapdragon 855+ packs 3 times the power of the Snapdragon 845. It features Qualcomm Kryo 485 CPU built on Arm Cortex Technology which now runs on a clock speed of up to 2.96 GHz compared to the Snapdragon 855 which runs on a clock speed of up to 2.84GHz.

To recall the specs, the Nubia Red Magic 3 phone comes packed with a 6.65-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2340 x1080 pixels. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model.

On the front, the phone includes a 16-megapixel camera for clicking selfies. On the rear panel, the Nubia Red Magic 3 includes a single 48-megapixel Sony IMX 586 sensor 0.8μm pixel size, f/1.75 aperture, Dual LED flash. The smartphone is backed by a massive 5,000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging support. The handset runs Android 9 Pie-based Red Magic OS 2.0 out of the box.

It is worth to mention that another Chinese smartphone maker Realme also announced that they will be launching a Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC powered phone soon. Furthermore, Asus has already confirmed that its upcoming ROG Phone 2 will come equipped with the Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset. The gaming device will go official on July 23 in China.
