OnePlus Allegedly Removing Negative Reviews from their Online Store

| By DWR Editor

We have seen a lot of allegations of fake business and its weird marketing strategy. For example, Samsung Electronics and Huawei have been criticized for using stock photos on their smartphones. Now another Chinese smartphone maker has been accused of doing such a thing.

According to Redditor – i.e. u / ftblwolf – OnePlus seems to filter out negative reviews from online stores. The radditor concluded that when he discovered that OnePlus had intentionally removed the negative reviews of on a OnePlus 6T tempered glass.

“This morning when I checked there were 3 or 4 more reviews (dated after mine) noting how terrible and practically impossible it was to get rid of all the bubbles…..Well, I go to check them now and guess what…my review along with the other negative ones are all gone,” the user said.

From the incident it is clear that OnePlus performs unethical processing in the User Reviews section. Some people researched accurately on this matter and saw what was happening. The initial result seems to back the claim by the redditors. Only in the OnePlus online store in the US and the UK, we found positive reviews about new products, especially OnePlus 6T and accessories. Well, a very wide demand shows negative reviews, but especially for old products.

Meanwhile, in the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Tech Summit 2018 event in Hawaii, OnePlus CEO and founder Carl Pei confirmed that they will be the first company to launch a 5G smartphone. It hints that the unnamed OnePlus 5G phone will be powered by Snapdragon 855. OnePlus 5G will be the first phone in Europe to use the Snapdragon 855 chipset.

Moreover, OnePlus is also gearing up to launch a special edition of the OnePlus 6T in collaboration with McLaren. The McLaren Edition of OnePlus 6T will unveil on December 11 in UK, December 12 in India and December 14 in China.
