Oppo A16 goes official in India for Rs 13,990

Oppo launched its budget phone Oppo A16 in India today. The key highlights of the phone are MediaTek’s Helio G35 SoC, a triple camera setup, and a 5000mAh battery. Here’s a closer look at the specs, price, and availability of the handset.

Priced at Rs 13,990 for the single 4GB + 64GB version, this phone is available in Pearl Blue and Crystal Black colours. From today, you can buy the phone from Amazon and other retailers across the country.

There is a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720*1600 pixels on this smartphone. It also offers a 60Hz touch sampling rate, 269ppi pixel density, 480 nits peak brightness, 88.7 percent screen-to-body ratio, and a 1,500:1 contrast ratio.

In addition to its Helio G35 SoC, Oppo A16 comes with an IMG GE8320 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage. With a microSD card, you can expand the storage.

It comes with a triple camera setup at the back with a combination of a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens, a 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel mono sensor with an f/2.4 lens. This device has an 8-megapixel camera on the front.

On the software front, the device runs ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11. Furthermore, it features a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged with a standard 10W charger. The device also includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and has a face recognition feature as well.

On the connectivity front, the phone supports dual-SIM, 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, A-GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack as well. It measures 163.8 x 75.6 x 8.4mm in dimensions and weighs 190 grams.
