Oppo A5 launched in India with 6.2-inch HD+ display and Snapdragon 450 SoC

Oppo which as became a hot topic after all its premium phone Find X with bizarre feature retracting camera. Oppo which self-claimed as “selfie expert” as now has expanded its range of A-series smartphones in India with the launch of the OPPO A5.To recollect this smartphone was firstly launched at its home country China in July. It comes with some interesting features that make it a worthy choice. The phone comes as a budget offering with a notch above the display.

Pricing

The Oppo A5 which aimed the offline customers who want a smartphone with a big-screen with dual camera and good battery backup. As per our sources, the phone is priced at Rs 14,990, and the phone will be available across all offline retail stores in India. The handset comes with a colour option: Blue and Mirror pink.

Oppo A5 specifications and features

Speaking about specifications, The new Oppo A5 features a 6.2-inch HD+display bearing an aspect ratio of 19:9. The phone is hooked by a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, aided by an Adreno 506 GPU. The Android Oreo-powered offering has 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64 GB of storage. It gets an option to expand the storage via microSD card (up to 128GB).

For shutterbugs, the Oppo A5 gets a dual camera setup with 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 2-megapixel secondary sensor with a f/2.4 aperture to detect the depth in portrait mode. On the front, it packs an 8-megapixel camera for selfies. The corporate claims that the front camera includes AI Beauty Technology 2.0, which is capable of recognizing up to 296 facial points.

The key highlight over here is it is powered by 4,230mAh battery, which is touted to deliver up to 14 hours of video playback. With a price point, it got heat in competition against likes of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro and Nokia 6.1 in the country.
