As per the official registration page of the Reno 3, it will pack a MediaTek Dimensity 1000L 5G SoC which is said to be a toned-down version of the Dimensity 1000, announced back in November this year.

Oppo Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro will be the company’s first dual-mode 5G smartphone which will work on both SA (standalone) and NSA (non-standalone) 5G networks. The Reno 3 Pro will be the slimmest 5G smartphone at 7.7mm thickness and it will be fuelled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC. Xiaomi recently introduced the Redmi K30 5G with the same SoC. Furthermore, it is also confirmed to sport an enhanced version of the VOOC 4.0 fast charge, and the company claims that it can be charged 50% in 20 minutes.

Oppo Reno 3 will feature a non-curved dew-drop notch display, unlike the Pro variant which will come with punch-hole cameras. Even though both the models will pack a quad-camera setup at the back, the primary sensor will be a 48MP or Samsung’s 64MP sensor on the Reno 3, whereas the Pro model will feature a Sony IMX686 64MP primary sensor. The handset will be slightly thicker than the Pro version at 7.96mm.

Oppo is going to launch first TWS earbuds called Enco Free Earbuds at the same event alongside the Reno 3 4G and 5G series on December 26.
