Oppo Reno 8 spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC

Oppo is expected to launch its Reno 8 series shortly in home-country China. The series is expected to include three smartphones – Oppo Reno 8, Oppo Reno 8 Lite, and Oppo Reno 8 Pro. Now, the Oppo Reno 8 has appeared on the Geekbench, revealing its key specifications.

The Geekbench listing indicates that the Oppo Reno 8 has the model number PGAM10. This device will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. According to its listing, the processor has a maximum clock speed of 2.36GHz. The Geekbench listing also reveals 8GB of RAM. We can also expect other variants of the device to launch.

In terms of software, it runs on the latest Android 12 OS. The Oppo Reno 8 scored 712 points in its single-core Geekbench test, and 2358 points in its multi-core test. 

Reports indicate that Oppo will launch its Reno 8 series in India at the end of June. In addition to the Reno 8 series, Oppo will introduce multiple AIoT products in India.

Oppo Reno 8 Specifications (Expected)

There will be a 6.55-inch OLED Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate support and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone will come with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, and Adreno 662 GPU.

This smartphone will feature a triple-camera setup that comprises a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera sensor. Additionally, the phone is said to feature a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

Software-wise, the handset will boot Android 12-based ColorOS 12 out of the box. It will be equipped with a 4500 mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging.
