Poco X4 5G listed on certification site; India launch imminent

The Poco X4 series will launch globally soon. On a Malaysian certification website, the alleged Poco X4 5G has now been listed with the model number Xiaomi 2201116PG. The same device appears to be listed on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website. So far, Poco hasn’t announced anything about the X4 lineup.

Tipster Mukul Sharma spotted the Poco X4 5G on a Malaysian certification site. The leak suggests that the Xiaomi 2201116PG smartphone will be released in the global market as the Poco X4 5G. Interestingly, the device also appears on the BIS website with the model number 2201116PI, indicating its imminent launch in India.

Another popular tipster Abhishek Yadav also spotted the Xiaomi 2201116PG on the FCC certification site. As per the listing, the smartphone believed to be the Poco X4 5G will run MIUI 13 and support NFC.

It has been reported that the Poco X4 5G is likely to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G launched in China. Poco has already launched the Chinese variant of the Redmi Note 11 as Poco M4 Pro 5G. We can expect the Poco X4 5G to follow a similar path.

The Redmi Note 11 Pro will be unveiled globally on January 26 at an official launch event. With its official release, we could learn more about the Poco X4 5G. Nevertheless, there have been reports that the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. The device will have a 6.67-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. There may be a quad-rear camera setup led by a 108-megapixel primary sensor on the handset.
