RealMe 3 to Launch in India Soon; Smartphone Teased on Twitter

RealMe 3 is all set to launch in India very soon. The company has already started teasing the smartphone on Twitter officially. However, no specific launch date has been mentioned in the tweet. Yesterday, a Gully Boy inspired teaser video for the Realme 3 featuring CEO Madhav Sheth leaked.

Speculation has it that the smartphone might be launched in March. The company may upgrade the RealMe 2 with Snapdragon 660 SoC, instead of the Snapdragon 450 variant. We can expect the company to announce after the launch of the Samsung’s Galaxy M30 on February 27 and Redmi Note 7 on February 28 in India.

The teaser was posted on the official RealMe Mobiles Twitter handle. The teaser is in the form of an image and a caption that reads “Let’s see if you can put 1 and 2 together.” which seems to imply the upcoming launch of the RealMe 3.

Unfortunately, however, RealMe official tweet means there is no further information beyond the fact that the RealMe 3 is, indeed, on its way to India. We have to wait for further leaks and announcements to know about the Realme 3 specifications. We are pretty sure the next RealMe phone should be available via online and offline channels. Recently, Realme had partnered with Reliance Digital to sell smartphones offline.

To recall, the Realme 2 comes with a 6.2-inch HD+ (720×1520 pixels) in-cell panel with a 19:9 aspect ratio and runs ColorOS 5.1 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. Under the hood, the RealMe 2 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC, paired with 3GB/ 4GB RAM, and 32GB/ 64GB of onboard storage and an Adreno 506 GPU. The storage of the device can be expanded up to 256 GB via microSD card.

For photography, the RealMe 2 comes equipped with dual rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture. Up front, the RealMe 2 features an 8-megapixel sensor with fixed focus, an f/2.2 aperture, and an 85-degree wide-angle lens. Coming to the battery capacity, the device packs a massive 4,230mAh battery with a bundled 5V/2A (10W) adaptor in the box.
