Realme 5 Receives a Price Cut in India

Oppo’s sub-brand Realme today slashed the price of its recently launched Realme 5 smartphone by Rs. 1000.

The base variant of the Realme 5 with 3GB RAM/32GB ROM is available at ₹ 8999 while the 4GB RAM/64GB ROM variant is selling at ₹ 9,999. The top variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant now priced at ₹10,999. The original prices of the three variants are ₹9999, ₹10,999 and ₹11,999 respectively.

The new prices are already live on Flipkart India and Realme India’s official website. It comes in Crystal Purple and Crystal Blue colour options for buyers.

Packed with various premium features, the Realme 5 is the most value-for-money mid-range smartphone yet under Rs. 10,000. The Realme 5 sports a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels. Powering the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC. The Realme 5 comes in two RAM variants of 3GB and 4GB, with internal storage options of 32GB and 64GB.

For photos, the Realme 5 features a quad camera set-up on the back comprising a 12-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel 119-degree wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel portrait lens. On the front, it has a 13-megapixel selfie camera.

Connectivity features on the handset include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, GLONASS, micro USB port and dual-SIM support. The phone measures 164.4 x 75.6 x 9.3mm and weighs 198 grams.
