Xiaomi is reportedly working on the successor of the Redmi 6A, called Redmi 7A. Now, the smartphone has been now found listed on Chinese regulatory site, TENAA, revealing some key specifications.

The listing reveals that Redmi 7A will feature a 5.4-inch IPS LCD display supporting a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. The smartphone is expected to launch in three different storage models: 2GB, 3GB, 4GB of RAM and option for 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. The listing further reveals that Redmi 7A will be powered by an unspecified processor which is clocked at 1.4GHz. The internal storage of the handset can be further expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card.

On the camera front, Redmi 7A will feature a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while for the front, it will come loaded with a 5-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling. The phone will run on Android 9 Pie-based MIUI 10 Android skin.

As per the TENAA listing, the device will be available in Black, Red, Blue, Pink, White, Green, Purple, and Gray color options. The Redmi 7A will be juiced up by a 4000mAh battery. The device measures 146.30 x 70.41 x 9.55 millimeters and weighs 150 grams.

The smartphone is expected to be placed between the Rs. 7000 in terms of pricing. While the specifications seem fine for the budget price segment, it will have a tough competition from brands like Realme. While there is no information available on the Redmi 7A launch date, it might launch with the much-awaited Redmi K20 and RedmiBook 14 later this month.
