Xiaomi confirmed Redmi Note 7 launch in India on February 28

Ever since Redmi note 7 launched in its home country we had seen numerous renders of device launch in India. Xiaomi fans are eagerly waiting for its launch in our country. As per previous reports, the smartphone should launch on  Feb 12 but it revealed a false alarm. And there are also some renders suggest that the smartphone launch would be delayed until March. But now a new report will make you happy as Xiaomi India head Manu Kumar Jain shared a new piece of information of its much-awaited smartphone on his Twitter that indicates the smartphone will indeed be released within this on Febraury 28.

The information is revealed as a Xiaomi lover asking whether Redmi Note 7 would launch before or after March. As this is revealed by the company head it can be assumed safely that the smartphone could launch in February itself, maybe in the later half, you can confirm and bring out the fireworks, do note that  this is an official confirmation from Xiaomi itself.

In a recent interaction with the Gadget360, Xioami India head had proclaimed that the debut offering under the new Redmi sub-brand will be a game changer. While he didn’t divulge any information about the pricing or availability.

Xiaomi launches the phone later half of February  on 28th then the Redmi Note 7 would kick off it a sale on the first week of March. Since these usually take place one week after the device has gone on sale.

For pricing, The Redmi Note 7 which starts at Yuan 999 or Rs 10,400+ launched in China. Notably, This is the first cheapest smartphone in India to launch with a 48MP camera at the back. This is the first company Note series smartphone to boast a glass body design.

To Remind, The device has a 6.3-inch display, full HD+ resolution with a small waterdrop style notch. The phone has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the back and the front.

The smartphone is armed by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz with up to 256GB storage support via a microSD slot. The device Redmi Note 7 has a 4000 mAh battery with support for Qualcomm QuickCharge 4.0 technology. This Redmi phone has a Type-C USB port for charging.

For imaging, The device includes a 48MP sensor at the back coupled with a 5MP secondary sensor. Redmi is using the GM1 sensor from Samsung with 1.6μm pixel size and f/1.8 aperture on the Note 7. The front camera is 13MP. Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7 will also come with a Night Scene mode.
