Samsung Galaxy A70s Appears on Geekbench; Likely to Feature 64MP Lens

South Korean giant Samsung is working on another A-series smartphone to launch. A new Samsung device with model number SM-A707F has appeared on the Geekbench that reveals few highlighting specs of the device. Going by the model number, we might be looking at the Samsung Galaxy A70s, the successor to the Galaxy A70.

As per Geekbench’s listing the Samsung Galaxy A70s bearing model number SM-A707F achieves 2365 points on the single-core test. In the multi-core test, the device achieves 6372 points. The score sheet says that the Galaxy A70s handset is tested with 6GB of RAM, a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 octa-core and runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.

Sadly, nothing else is known about the smartphone just yet. Though other specs of the device are not confirmed, the device could bear few improvements in design, hardware, battery, camera, display size, and more. While it isn’t clear when the Samsung Galaxy A70s would be launching, popular leakster Ice Universe speculated that the Samsung would launch the Galaxy A70s in September or October. According to him, Samsung is working on a Galaxy A series phone with a 64-megapixel camera. It is speculated that the Galaxy A70s could be the first Samsung smartphone to come equipped with its 64-megapixel GW1 sensor.

Samsung Galaxy A70 Specifications

To recall, Samsung Galaxy A70 has a 6.7-inch Infinity-U Super AMOLED Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It’s powered by the Exynos SoC clocked at 2.0GHz, paired with 6GB or 8GB of RAM. For storage, the device has up to 128GB of internal storage which can be expanded with a MicroSD card up to 512GB, and a 4500mAh battery which does support 25W Super-Fast Charging.

As for the triple-camera arrangement, there’s a primary 32-megapixel sensor with f/1.7 aperture with another 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture and g-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture. There is 32-megapixel selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture on the front. The phone also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor and offers Android 9.0 Pie layered over with the custom One UI skin.

Connectivity options on the Galaxy A70 include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS. 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.
