Samsung Galaxy M22 may launch in India soon as support page goes live

A new M-series smartphone is on its way to India from Samsung. There is an India support page now live on the Samsung website for the Samsung Galaxy M22.

SM-M225FV/DS is the model number listed on Samsung India’s support page for the Galaxy M22. The DS in the model number indicates dual sim support. Although the listing does not reveal any specifications, it indicates the Galaxy M22 may launch soon in India.

In Germany, Samsung launched its Galaxy M22 last month with a quad-camera setup, Helio G80, and a 5000mAh battery. There are three colours to choose from: black, white, and blue.

Samsung Galaxy M22 Specifications

Featuring a 6.4-inch HD+ display, the Samsung Galaxy M22 has a resolution of 720*1600 pixels, a refresh rate of 90Hz, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Furthermore, the device has a fingerprint scanner mounted on its side. It also supports facial recognition.

The phone is powered by an octa-core 2GHz processor, probably the Helio G80. In addition to 4GB of RAM, there is 128GB of internal storage. You can expand the storage up to 1TB using a microSD card.

It has a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide snapper with a 123-degree FOV, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The device comes with a 13-megapixel front-facing camera.

It runs on Android 11 with a One UI interface. With a 5000mAh battery and 25W fast charging, it offers great battery life. 

In terms of connectivity, there are dual-SIM, 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It weighs 186 grams and measures 159.9 x 73.6 x 8.4mm.
