Samsung Galaxy XCover6 Pro announced; 120Hz display, rugged build & more

Samsung has launched its latest rugged smartphone, the Galaxy XCover6 Pro. The smartwatch has a rugged build in addition to features such as a 120Hz display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC, a swappable battery, MIL-810H certification, and a programmable push-to-talk button. It is a successor to the last year’s Galaxy XCover 5.

We will soon learn the price of the Samsung XCover6 Pro. Starting in July 2022, the device will be available in selected markets across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, and it will be available in other regions later.

Samsung Galaxy XCover6 Pro Specifications

The Galaxy XCover6 Pro includes a 6.6-inch PLS LCD display that offers Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz display refresh rate, increased touch sensitivity, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. 

There is a Snapdragon 778G processor under the hood along with 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM. The storage can be further expanded up to 1TB with a microSD card.

The smartphone comes with a dual-camera setup including a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera and an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide sensor. Upfront, there is a 13MP camera for taking selfies. 

It comes with a removable 4,050mAh battery that supports up to 15W charging. Software-wise, it ships with Android 12-based OneUI. Connectivity options include dual-SIM 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C port for charging, and GPS. It is IP68-rated and has MIL-810H industrial standard certification.
