Sony Xperia 20 Clears FCC Certification, Could Launch Soon

Sony Xperia 20 has cleared FCC certification, hinting it may go official soon. The FCC listing has been spotted on Twitter by a user Mukul Sharma @stufflistings.

Albeit the FCC listing doesn’t reveal any of the specifications of the upcoming device. Earlier rumors, however, point towards a 6-inch full HD+ display and 21:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, there will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SOC.

On the imaging front, the earlier report suggests that the upcoming Sony Xperia 20 will come with dual primary camera setup with a combination of two 12-megapixel sensors and a single camera on the front.

If rumors are to be believed, the Xperia 20 will be launched in two variants featuring 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage, or 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The handset measures 156 x 68 x 8.4 mm and it weighs 162 grams.

Last week, the company has launched the flagship phone Sony Xperia 1 in China. It comes with a 6.5-inch OLED notch-less display which is protected by Gorilla glass 6. The chassis of the handset is an IP68 rated water-resistant and dustproof. Powering the device is a Snapdragon 855 chipset which is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

For photography, the Sony Xperia 1 includes triple cameras on the back and the setup comprising of a 12MP + 12MP + 12MP sensors. The front-facing camera boasts an 8MP sensor.

The handset gets 3300mAh battery and runs Android 9 Pie OS. It features a side-mounted fingerprint reader. Other features on the handset include Dolby Atmos support, 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, and USB-C.
