Vivo iQOO Pro and Vivo iQOO Pro 5G Launched; Specifications, Features and Price

After series of leaks and rumors, Vivo finally launched the Vivo iQOO Pro and iQOO Pro 5G smartphones in China. Both the smartphones are powered by the Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC under the hood and feature triple cameras on the rear.

The Vivo iQOO Pro comes with a 6.41-inch Super AMOLED display having a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 × 2340 pixels. Furthermore, the panel bears a water-drop notch, boasts an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 91.7% and 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

Under the hood, the device gets powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, which is a successor to the Snapdragon 855. The device packs 12GB of RAM and 512 GB UFS 3.0 internal storage. The 5G variant has Snapdragon X50 modem with 6 Antenna design along with side distributed antenna technology.

For photography, the phone gets a triple-camera module at the rear. It comprises of a 48-megapixel primary Sony IMX582 sensor, a secondary 13-megapixel 120-degree ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel sensor for portrait shots. For selfies, it gets a 12-megapixel Dual Pixel snapper.

On the software front, the Vivo iQOO Pro runs FunTouch OS 9 based on Android 9 Pie. All of this is backed by a massive 4500mAh battery that supports 44W ultra-fast charging. Lastly, the connectivity features onboard include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C 2.0, and NFC.

Other features of the phones include Game Space 2.0 which brings new visual upgrade, Professional linear motor and 4D Vibration 3.0 offers improved gaming experience. There’s also Halo lighting effect 2.0 that lets you choose lighting effect color, mode, frequency and more based on the preference.

Vivo iQOO Pro price in China starts at 3,198 Yuan (approx. Rs. 32,357) for the base model with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Whereas, the 12GB RAM and 128GB storage model is priced at 3,498 Yuan (approx. Rs. 35,392). The Vivo iQOO Pro 5G variant, on the other hand, starts at 3,798 Yuan (approx. Rs. 38,428) for the 8GB RAM + 128 GB storage version. Following the same, the 12GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variants are priced at 3,798 Yuan (approx. Rs. 38,415) and 4,098 Yuan (approx. Rs 41,425) respectively. Both smartphones come in Black and Blue color options.
