Vivo Y70s announced with Exynos 880 chipset: Price, specifications & features

Vivo Y70s finally launched in China as the first Exynos 880 chipset-powered smartphone. Vivo has launched the smartphone with a starting price of 1,998 Yuan and it is the most affordable 5G phone from the brand in home-country China.

Vivo Y70s Specifications

Vivo Y70s flaunts a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with 1080 x 2340 pixels Full HD+ resolution. The display has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and screen to body ratio of 90.72 percent.

On the rear, there is a quad rear camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Upfront, the punch-hole houses a 16-megapixel  selfie camera. There is also a side-facing fingerprint reader. 

Under the hood, it packs 8nm Exynos 880 SoC along with Mali-G76 MP5 graphics. The Exynos 880 is an under-clocked version of the Exynos 980 5G SoC. The Vivo Y70s features LPPDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage.

Software-wise, it runs on Android 10 OS with FunTouch OS 10 UI. It packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 18W dual-engine flash charging through MicroUSB.

Vivo Y70s price and availability

Vivo Y70s comes in two RAM and storage models: 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage that are priced at 1,998 Yuan (approx. Rs 21,195) and 2,198 Yuan (approx. Rs 23,316).  Respectively. The smartphone will be available in Fog Illusion, Starlight Blue, and Moon Shadow Black color options.

It is already up for pre-orders on China’s Tmall and JD.com retailer sites. The Vivo Y70s is set to go on sale in China on June 1. For now, there is no word the availability of Vivo Y70s in other countries.
