| By DWR Editor

Xiaomi has announced the Mi Mix 3 few months ago and the smartphone has a stunning 6.4-inch screen, no notch, slide up camera, whopping 10GB of RAM, and some surprises. The company even conformed that it will be launching a 5G variant of Mi Mix 3 in early 2019.

The professional phone breaker JerryRigEverything turned his attention to the recently launched Xiaomi’s flagship Mi Mix 3. One wouldn’t have high expectations from the build quality of the device, but a durability test conducted by YouTube channel JerryRigEverything proves otherwise.

As anyone familiar with the channel will already know, Zack Nelson, from the YouTube channel JerryRigEverything tests the several phones through series of tests.

The Mi MIX 3 sports high-end specs and a sliding camera, but how does it stand up to wear and tear? The latest JerryRigEverything video seeks to answer that question. Overall, the Xiaomi’s Mi MIX 3 does alright.

The latest flagship from Xiaomi, Mi Mix 3 seems to be good in the scratch, bend and burn tests. Special attention is paid to the resistance of glass to scratch. The ceramic base has excellent scratch resistance compared to metal and glass panels. Even a earpiece of the phone made up of metal, so it is not easy to scratch with sharp metals.

When attempting to bend the device, JerryRigEverything found that despite it having a little give, the phone didn’t bend permanently or break like Oppo Find X.

The only obstacle to this slider is the small distance between the two parts, which allow dirt and sand. Talking about the overall performance the Mi MIX 3 seen to perform impressively in durability, scratch, bend tests. So, for the money it appears to be a well-made, durable Android phone.
