Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro unveiled:adding a notch and 4 AI cameras

Xiaomi, a Chinese mobile maker latest smartphone Redmi Note 6 pro which had through numerous rumours and gossips is finally unveiled in the Thai forum at Mi.com, but still, it doesn’t go a proper launch as there is no news regarding the phone outside yet.

This is the company’s smartphone that bears four AI cameras the phone with two dual cameras on its front and rear ends. The rear end comes with a combination of 12MP main module plus a 5MP depth sensor. This sounds similar to the Redmi Note 5 pro but the new features here are larger pixels (1.4µm vs. 1.25µm) plus brighter aperture (f/1.9 vs. f/2.2) and Dual Pixel AF.

Upon the front, there are two sensors hidden in the display notch. There is a 20-megapixel primary sensor (1.8µm, f/2.0) accompanied by a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Where these two cameras accompanied by Artificial Intelligence.

Apart from camera specifications, the Redmi Note 6 Pro flaunts a 6.26-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio,.The smartphone boasts 86% screen-to-body ratio. The screen promises 500 nits of brightness and is guarded by 2.5D Gorilla Glass.

The Redmi Note 6 pro is armed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM. On board, it has a 64 GB memory configuration. Also, the 4,000mAh battery is the same as its predecessor. It promises up to 6 hours of gaming or 8.5 hours of video playback. The device runs on Android Oreo-based MIUI.

The Smartphone launched in Thailand where it is priced at THB 7,000 phone which roughly translates to Rs 15,700 for 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage variant. There is still no information about its smartphone variants. Pre-orders in the country have kicked off, and buyers will be able to choose from colours like black, blue, and Rose Gold. It has a metal frame with plastic panels (top and bottom) for better wireless connectivity. There is no confirmation whether the company brings the smartphone to India.
