Xiaomi’s Redmi partners TikTok to launch a new smartphone on Jan 10

Redmi a subsidiary of Xiaomi has announced a partnership with  TikTok in order to unveil a new smartphone on this month(Jan 10). This piece of information is announced on the official account of weibo.In the name of the partnership, The company is likely into the online content market by offering certain hardware and software support.

For now, neither Xiaomi nor TikTok had revealed much information regarding the new product. But as per recent leaks and rumours are concerned we speculate this is the phone that boasts a 48-megapixel rear camera reportedly named as Redmi 7 might be the one that will unveil on this event. The poster shared on the Weibo suggest a clear idea about how the front of smartphone looks like. The phone will have a water drop notch on the display up front. It would be the first Xiaomi or Redmi phone to come with such features.

Earlier this week, The company president Jun announced that they are making Redmi as an independent brand by separating it from the Xiaomi Mi brand. Including this, he also announced that it is planning to launch the first Redmi branded smartphone for the sub-brand at a launch event on January 10. At that time, Jun stated that the decision of sub-brand is to make sure that Xiaomi is concerned more about the Redmi brand. his move will also separate Mi and Redmi brands from each other as both brands have a different focus. Mi brand is geared towards launching high-end smartphones, while the Redmi brand is aimed at bringing “value-for-money” smartphones in the budget and entry-level price segment.

As per previous reports, The So-called Redmi 7 will come with a gradient glass back design and a 6.3-inch display. It is said to pack in a 3,900mAh battery. This is the first for Redmi series to sports USB Type-C port.
