Huawei P40 4G launched quietly: price, specifications

Last year, Huawei launched the Huawei P40 series smartphones in China. It had arrived with a Kirin 990 processor that supports 5G connectivity. Now, the Chinese brand has silently unveiled the Huawei P40 4G in the country and the phone has listed on JD.com.

The Huawei P40 4G comes with a price tag of 3,988 Yuan approx. Rs 45,026), which makes it 500 Yuan (approx. Rs 5,645) cheaper than its 5G variant. The Huawei P40 4G variant is offered in Dark Blue and Frost Silver color options.

The Huawei P40 4G boasts an FHD+ display measuring 6.1-inches with a pill-shaped camera cutout that houses dual selfie cameras and a 60Hz refresh rate. 

The phone has a triple rear camera setup engineered by Leica consisting of a  50-megapixel SuperSensing primary camera, a 16-megapixel ultrawide lens, and an 8-megapixel telephoto snapper with OIS support. The camera supports  30x digital zoom. The device has a 32-megapixel front-facing snapper.

Internally, the Huawei P40 4G is equipped with a Kirin 990 4G chipset. The processor is coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB native storage that is expandable via an NM card slot.

The smartphone draws its power from a 3,800mAh battery unit with support for 22.5W fast charging. The IP53 rated device has an in-display fingerprint scanner with face lock support. Connectivity features include GPS, Bluetooth 5.1, Infrared port, and USB 3.1 Type-C 1.0 reversible connector. It measures 148.9 x 71.06 x 8.5mm and weighs 175 grams.
