Nokia 8.1 6GB+128GB Variant Launched in India ,Out for Preoders

HMD Global launched Nokia 8.1 in India early in December 2018 with a single storage variant with a 4GB + 64GB configuration.  At the moment Nokia confirmed that it would come back with a higher storage variant 6GB+128GB later. True to their promise, the company officially announced that this new version of the Nokia 8.1 with higher storage that would out for sale exclusively on Amazon.

 

What is the Difference between Standard and Higher version?

If you are a Nokia fan and planning to buy Nokia 8.1 as your next handset. A question will rise in you that which of these two versions to choose from now that you will have the option to buy both the 64GB and the 128GB variants in India. These two variants sport same internals except for the RAM and the internal storage capacity. And the company seems not to have a mood to launch the new variant in a different colour as other smartphone manufacturers do. So it is clarified that the Nokia 128 Gb variant will come in same colours as the standard one.

 

Price and Availability:

The Nokia 8.1 6Gb+128GB is priced at INR 29,999. The smartphone will go up for sale on February 6 via Amazon Exclusive. The smartphone already up fr preorders just after its launch, yesterday. The smartphone is available in two colour where you can choose one from Silver blue or Iron.

For launch offers, The customers can avail up to 10% cashback on using HDFC cards. There is also an exchange offer where users can get an additional INR 2,500 discount if the transaction is done between February 6 and February 17. Additionally, if you purchase the device from the Nokia website, you will get a gift card worth INR 3,000.

As said, The Nokia 8.1 6GB+128GB variant is identical in all other aspects to the lower priced 4GB + 64GB version. The handset flaunts the same 6.18-inch full HD+ IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1080 x 2244 pixels in the 18.7:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset that houses the Adreno 512 GPU for graphics. The Nokia 8.1 6GB+128GB version also gets dual SIM support and uses nano-SIM cards. The handset also supports Indian 4G VoLTE networks.

For imaging, the device consists of a 12-megapixel primary camera with Zeiss optics and support for OIS and EIS mated to a 13-megapixel depth-sensing camera. For selfies, it uses a 20-megapixel fixed focus lens with 0.9-micron pixels. The phone also can use both the front and rear cameras at the same time for what Nokia refers to as ‘Bothies.’
