Oneplus 6T special edition McLaren version was launched in India just a few hours ago. While the new edition comes with a pack of upgraded features which are quite different from the standard one. For unaware, The special edition Mc Laren version which is borne out of a partnership with British car maker McLaren. The smartphone was unveiled globally on December 11, and the limited edition smartphone will be available in India starting today at OnePlus’ Experience Store in New Delhi and will be available online from OnePlus Store and Amazon India starting December 15. So here we brought you the main difference between the standard and special edition of Oneplus 6T.

The main difference between these devices is about Design. In the McLaren edition, the phone sports a McLaren brand logo, McLaren’s signature Papaya Orange color wrapped around the borders of the phone. OnePlus is calling this finish as Speed Orange, which somewhat justifies what the company is trying to do with this smartphone. The special edition design is inspired by from the MCL33 2018 Formula 1 car.

The OnePlus 6T standard variant comes in Mirror Black, Midnight Black, and Thunder Purple finish. The company is aiming customers who are die-hard fans of McLaren brand and fulfill their desire by collecting the most exquisite things like the special edition of Oneplus 6T.

Both these smartphones sports same 6.41-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display supporting a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels, and teardrop-style notch. And with an in-display fingerprint sensor for security, which is one of the biggest selling points for OnePlus 6T.

Both these models are armed at the heart by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC clocked at 2.8GHz coupled with Adreno 630 SoC. While the standard model comes with three different storage options: 6GB RAM variant with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM variant with an option for 128GB or 256GB storage. The McLaren Edition, on the other hand, comes with 10GB of RAM and 256GB storage.

The Oneplus 6T McLaren version is the company’s first smartphone in India that wears 10GB of RAM already the OnePlus brand is known for beasty performance and with these extra RAM should lead to even snappier performance. On the battery, Both the models feature 3,700mAh battery but rely on the different charging system. OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition comes bundled with Warp Charge, which charges at 30W as opposed to Dash Charge on the standard model, which only supports 20W fast charging.

Both these models run on OxygenOS 9.0.5 based on Android 9 Pie.

For photos, Both smartphones sport same camera setup. There is a dual rear camera setup comprising of a 16-megapixel main shooter with wide f/1.7 aperture, phase detection autofocus, and optical image stabilization. The main camera is coupled with a 20-megapixel secondary camera that acts as a depth sensor. For selfies, OnePlus 6T features a 16-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture and supports auto-HDR and 1080p video recording.

OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is priced at Rs 50,999 and can be purchased exclusively on Amazon.in and OnePlus.in from December 15. The OnePlus 6T, on the other hand, starts at Rs 37,999 and the top end model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage will set you back by Rs 45,999. Although, for McLaren fan, it’s no big thing to spend extra 5000 for their admiring special edition
