Realme 3 Pro to Support 64-Megapixel Ultra HD Mode

RealMe 3 Pro will be unveiled on April 22 as the successor of the RealMe 2 Pro smartphone that was announced last year. The RealMe 2 Pro had arrived with a waterdrop notch screen and it featured dual rear-facing cameras. The RealMe 3 Pro will be offering triple rear cameras and Snapdragon 710. A recent leak had revealed that the device will run the popular Fortnite game smoothly. Now, the company’s CEO Madhav Seth tweeted about the upcoming RealMe 3 Pro which revealed that the smartphone will be arriving with support for Ultra HD mode, which is a camera feature that will capture 64-megapixel images.

However, other details regarding the 64-megapixel Ultra HD mode remains unknown and the company might be using software to get the 64-MP result. Realme 3 Pro could be using a 16-megapixel sensor and the software might combine four individual pixels to produce a higher resolution 64-megapixel final image, similar to what we’ve seen on the Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7 Pro which has a 12-megapixel rear camera that produces 48-megapixel images.

A recent Geekbench listing of the RealMe 3 Pro revealed that the smartphone will be indeed coming with Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC under its hood paired with 6GB of RAM. The benchmark also revealed that the RealMe 3 Pro comes with Android 9.0 Pie preinstalled. The device has scored 1483 Single-Core and 5900 Multi-Core scores respectively.

Talking about the other features, the Realme 3 Pro is expected to feature a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display. It is confirmed to support Bluetooth 5.0 and 5Hz dual-band WiFi. The leaks also revealed a 3,960mAh battery capacity. There will be a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The pricing of the smartphone is still under the wraps. The smartphone will compete with Xiaomi’s 48-megapixel camera phone, Redmi Note 7 Pro.
