Vivo NEX 3 Launching On September 16, to Come with 99.6% Screen-to-Body Ratio

The successor of the dual-screen Vivo Nex 2, the Vivo NEX 3 is all set to make its debut on September 16. The company has already confirmed that the phone will feature a notch-less waterfall display with curved edges. Now, Vivo’s product manager, Li Xiang, has revealed the NEX 3 would sport a 99.6 percent screen-to-body ratio. Furthermore, he even stated that the forthcoming Vivo NEX 3 will offer the highest screen space.

Vivo’s product manager, Li Xiang, also assured that smartphone fans will not witness such a high screen space on any phone in the next six months. He said the 99.6 percent screen-to-body ratio has been measured using the industry-standard method. Vivo has already given us a glimpse of the upcoming NEX 3 and its waterfall display. The new image that Vivo has posted on Weibo shows the phone with very thin upper and bottom bezels.

As per the teaser, the Vivo Next 3 will not feature any physical buttons. However, it will come with haptic feedback on the sides to eliminate the need for buttons.

Coming to the specifications, Vivo Nex 3 5G variant is tipped to fuel Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, paired with X50 modem for 5G connectivity. Moreover, the device is expected to launch with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage options. The standard Vivo NEX 3 handset will come with 4G support.

According to the TENAA, the handset will pack 6.89-inch display (2256 x 1080 pixels) and 99.6 percent screen-to-body ratio. On the camera front, it might feature 16-megapixel selfie camera and triple rear camera setup on the rear that is likely to include a 64-megapixel sensor, a 13-megapixel sensor, and a 13-megapixel sensor.

Furthermore, the few reports also hinted that upcoming Nex 3 will come with 4,500mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging tech. It will also feature connectivity options such as 3.5m headphone jack, a USB Type C port, NFC and Glass body.
