Vivo Y52s powered by Dimensity 720 launched in China

Vivo has today launched its latest smartphone in the Chinese market, dubbed as Vivo Y52s. As the name itself indicates, the new Vivo Y52s is a successor to the Vivo Y51s that was announced earlier this year.

The Vivo Y52s is priced at 1,898 Yuan (approx. Rs 21,377) and will be available for purchase in China in the Coral Sea, Monet, and Titanium Gray colors.

Vivo Y52s Specifications

The Vivo Y52s features a 6.58-inch FHD+ display with a 20.07:9 aspect ratio, the screen-to-body ratio of 90.61 percent, 1080 x 2408 pixels screen resolution. It also supports HDR10, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. Under the hood, the device is powered by the Dimensity 720 SoC along with 8GB of LPPDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. Sadly, the phone lacks support for a microSD card slot.

There’s also a liquid-cooling technology to maintain the internal temperature. In the camera department, the phone has an 8MP front-facing camera to take care of the selfie needs.

On the back, it features a dual-camera setup that comprises a 48-megapixel primary camera with f/1.79 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The rear camera features include night scene mode, time-lapse photography, 10x digital zoom, EIS, 4K video recording, and up to 1080p slow-motion video shooting.

The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W dual-engine fast charging. Connectivity features include dual SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It measures 164.15 x 75.35 x 8.4mm and it weighs 185.5 grams.
