Xiaomi Black Shark 2 May Finally Launch in India Soon, Receives BIS Certification

Remember the leaks of the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 India launching? Well, it seems that those rumors about the India launch might not entirely be false, as today we got BIS certification of the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 entering India.

We are yet to see a Black Shark 2 in India, but it seems gaming smartphone fans will not have to wait too long now. According to the new report, the Black Shark 2 has been certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), which suggests its imminent launch. However, the BIS listing does not reveal any details about the features and specifications of the handset. The exact launch date of the Black Shark 2 India launch is not yet known.

Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Specifications

The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 is fuelled by Snapdragon 855 SoC. The smartphone will come with liquid cooling technology called Liquid Cool 3.0. The phone runs Android 9 Pie OS and is likely to feature improved dual rear cameras. For optics, the handset features a 48 MP f/1.75 0.8μm primary camera paired with a 12 MP f/2.2 telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. Up front, the device is equipped with a 20 MP shooter with f/2.0.

Recently, Black Shark 2 has appeared in AnTuTu benchmarking site and the device managed to score 430,882 points on the benchmark site, which is pretty impressive. The smartphone features a 6.39-inch AMOLED pressure sensitivity display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, 43.5ms input latency. The display is HDR-enabled and covers the DCI-P3 color space.

The Black Shark 2 comes in 6 GB, 8 GB, and 12 GB of RAM variants with 128 GB and 256 GB storage options. For now, there is no information on the variant that going to launch in India.
