Alleged Redmi Pro 2 Image Leaked, Shows Pop-up Selfie Camera, Triple Rear-camera Setup

Xiaomi launched the budget Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi 7 smartphones this year. Now, the Chinese giant appears to be working on a Redmi Pro 2. Ahead of the unveiling, the upcoming phone was spotted on the Weibo. The leak shows the front and back side of the phone, which reveals that the device will feature a triple camera setup on the rear and a pop-up selfie camera.

According to the leaked image, the Redmi Pro 2 will sport a gradient back panel and will integrate a triple camera setup and a 48-megapixel sensor. The phone is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 855 processor, coupled with at least 4GB of RAM.

Surprisingly, the leaked image doesn’t show any fingerprint sensor on the rear, which hints at the presence of the in-display fingerprint scanner. As you can see in the image, the alleged Redmi Pro 2 has pop-up selfie camera and a no-notch display on the front. On the right edge, we can see the volume and power buttons.

The company has already confirmed that a Snapdragon 855 SoC Redmi phone is in the works and this could be one of the phones to be fuelled by Qualcomm’s latest and powerful Snapdragon 855 processor.

Officially, the company hasn’t revealed anything about the existence of the Redmi Pro 2. Hence, it is recommended to digest the report with a grain of salt since the authenticity of the image could not be confirmed. Also, it advisable to wait for newer reports to confirm on the specs and design of the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Pro.
