With the new Android Pie update, the Oneplus will add Android P gesture navigation, expanded accent colour customizations, adjustable Do Not Disturb and more feature for the phone. In Android Pie, DND now blocks all visual notifications as well to ensure no distraction for the user.

Further, there are features like Adaptive Battery technology, which learns a customer’s usage pattern for the phone to optimize battery life will also be part of the Android Pie update. OnePlus 6 also gets Gaming Mode 3.0 with the update, which can now show notifications for text messages and third-party calls.

How to update

The Android 9.0 pie update is 1.52GB in size, so you need to have a high speed and steady Wi-Fi connection for the update process. The Oneplus said that using VPN to download this build might not work as the rollout is not based on regions and is randomly pushed out to a limited number of devices. So in the coming days, the company has promised to push to the wider number of users.
