Apple introduced support for bokeh and depth control on the new iPhone XS, which allows users to adjust the depth of field of an image after it has been shot. A report from Macerkopf claims that Apple also plans to add a feature that lets users adjust the depth of field while clicking a picture.
At present, depth of field control is only available after taking the Portrait Mode picture. This implies you should take the photo, at that point tap the ‘Edit’ to adjust the depth of the picture. So, with the new update, users will see a slider at the bottom portion when they are taking the photo, allowing the user to adjust the depth before capturing the moment.
As of now, this feature is available in iOS 12.1 beta 1 and it would be available to everyone, not just beta users. That means iOS users need to wait for this update. This may take some time. So, this new feature will essentially provide the user more options when clicking pictures. Adding the adjustment controls would enhance the feature for better user experience. This feature is expected to arrive later this year in the iOS 12 update.
The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are expected to go on sale in India on September 28 through both offline and online portals. Both the phones are priced at Rs 99,900 and Rs 1,09,900 respectively. While the iPhone XR is said to be priced at Rs 76,900 and is expected to go on sale after a few months.
