Apple is all set to arrive on 2020 with its all-new next-gen iPhones.A fresh report reveals that the Apple is planning to improve iPhone photography by implementing 3D camera for improved AR.According to the new report in coutesy with Bloomberg sorces says that the Cupertino gaint is developing a 3D camera system that uses a laser scanner to capture depth information at distances much greater than the dot projection system that is used as Face ID recognition in current iPhones.
The company mainly focus on Augmented reality ,especially with its ARKit development platform.As a result the company is going to take some important changes and additions to future iPhones to improve the overall experience.
The report includes that company new system uses a laser-powered, time-of-flight (ToF) 3D cameras instead of dot projection which doesn’t work as well over longer distances, with Tof he laser will determine the distance between the camera and the object in a room. That data can then be utilized to form an even more impressive 3D model image of the area.If this tech is implemented then future iPhones could be even better at placing virtual items in the real world.
The report further includes that the new camera system will allow the future iPhone to scan areas up to 15 feet away.And the company is making talk with sony about testing sensors.And this new 3D cameras will also allow for improvements to regular camera-features, allowing for increased depth, perception and placement of virtual objects that could seriously improve the iPhone’s Portrait Mode.This new camera would firsts debut in he company’s upcoming iPad Pro, which is expected to arrive sometime in Spring 2020.
Tipster also say Apple is planning updated versions of the regular iPad and the aging iPad mini for release in 2019.Apple is also ntroducing a third camera for the high-end iPhone. The additional camera will result in a larger field of view and a wider range of zoom in pictures, and it could also introduce software-powered features like the ability to automatically repair a subject on videos or photos that may have been accidentally cut off.
