Apple Sends Invites For October 30 Event, Likely to Launch new iPad Pro

A month ago, Apple unveiled three new iPhones and now the company has sent out invites for another launch event. It could be the launch of iPad Pro launch on 30 October. Apple is likely to announce updated iPad Pros with Face ID support and possibly that rumored 13-inch MacBook.

Apple Launch Event

Apple’s launch event invites contain an image and a phrase, “There’s more in the making”. The launch event is scheduled for October 30 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music at 10 AM EDT and will also be live-streamed.

Earlier this year, Apple had already launched a new iPad, but that is the regular 9.7” iPad (2018). But in the upcoming launch event, the company is likely to unveil the 2018 version of the iPad Pro. The tablet is tipped to release in two sizes – a 12.9-inch version and a smaller 11-inch version.

Apple is anticipated to unveil another, minimal MacBook to succeed the MacBook Air which hasn’t seen an update in years. Earlier in August, Bloomberg reported that the new MacBook will seem to be like the current MacBook Air, yet will include more slender bezels around the display. The display is tipped to get a higher resolution while remaining 13-inch in size.

Some reports claim that the new iPad will feature a thinner bezel, support Face ID in both portrait and landscape, and ditch the Lightning port for USB-C. While another report also suggests that the new iPad Pro will allow users to output 4K HDR video to an external display using a USB-C port.
