Apple Watch Series 7 launched with bigger display, faster charging

Watch Series 7 is one of Apple‘s latest product offerings, along with new iPads and iPhone 13 series. It has a re-engineered Always-On Retina display that has a larger screen area and thinner bezels. Watch Series 7 also has a new design, with softer and more rounded corners.

Apple Watch Series 7 models will be available later this year. India’s pricing and availability haven’t been announced yet.

It comes in two sizes: 41mm and 45mm. There is a nearly 20 percent increase in the display area in Watch Series 7. Furthermore, it has thinner borders, measuring just 1.7 millimeters, nearly 40 percent smaller than those on Watch Series 6. Furthermore, when the wrist is down, the Always-On Retina display provides a 70 percent brighter display indoors than the predecessor Apple Watch Series 6.Watch Series7

In addition to two larger font sizes, Apple Watch Series 7 features a new QWERTY keyboard that is tapped or swiped with QuickPath. As part of watchOS 8, Apple has increased the size of menu titles and buttons in apps such as Stopwatch, Activity, and Alarms. Apple will release watchOS 8 for Apple Watch Series 3 later on September 20, which requires an iPhone 6s or later with iOS 15 or later.

Now with 33 percent faster charging, the new Watch Series 7 offers an all-day battery life of 18 hours. It comes with a Magnetic Fast Charger USB-C Cable and a new charging architecture. Furthermore, it includes the new Mindfulness app, sleep respiratory rate tracking, and Tai Chi and Pilates workout types.

For the first time, Apple Watch has been certified IP6X for dust resistance and has been rated WR50 for water resistance. Additionally, it comes with an electrical heart sensor and ECG app, and a Blood Oxygen sensor and app.

There are five new aluminium case colors in the Watch Series 7 collection, namely midnight, starlight, green, and a new blue and Product Red finishes. There is also a new palette of Apple Watch bands, designed to work with every Apple Watch model. Further, the watch offers backward compatibility with Apple Watch bands released previously.
