Taiwanese smartphone maker Asus recently launched its flagship smartphone Asus Zenfone 6 in Spain. This was the first smartphone to sport a Flip Camera Setup. The company now confirmed that this new flagship will be launched in India on June 19 as the Asus 6Z.
Asus 6Z will be exclusively available via Flipkart, a dedicated microsite is already live on the e-commerce platform with the detailed specifications and the launch date. Recently, Delhi High Court ordered Asus not to sell smartphones with Zen or Zenfone branding. This was because of a petition filed by Zen Mobile against Asus for infringement of branding. As a result of this Asus Zenfone 6Z will be launched as Asus 6Z in India.
Asus 6Z Specifications
Asus 6Z comes with a 6.4-inch All-Screen NanoEdge FHD+ display with 92% screen-to-body ratio and 1080 x 2,340 pixels resolution. The display is also protected by Gorilla Glass 6. This is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 855 processor paired with Adreno 640 GPU.
This device comes with RAM up to 8GB and internal storage up to 256GB. The internal storage can also be expanded further up to 1TB using a MicroSD card.
Asus 6Z features a dual camera setup on the back comprising of a 48MP primary camera with flagship Sony IMX586 sensor and a 13MP camera with an ultra-wide angle sensor. As this smartphone comes with Flip-Camera Mechanism, the total back camera setup can be used as front cameras also.
It is backed by a massive 5,000mAh battery with 18W Quick Charge 4.0 support. The company also claimed that this smartphone will run for 2 days with a single charge. Connectivity features of the smartphone include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band GPS, NFC, FM Radio and 3.5mm audio jack.
Asus 6Z Price
Asus 6Z comes in three variants with 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and, 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage. It is made available in Midnight Black and Twilight Silver colour variants. In Spain, the base variant of Asus 6Z with 6GB RAM + 64GB is priced at 499 Euros [Rs.39,000 Approx.], another variant with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage comes for 559 Euro [Rs. 43,900 Approx]. The top end variant with 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage is priced at 599 Euros [Rs. 47,000 Approx.]
