Asus ROG Phone 2 May Launch Soon With 12GB RAM and 120Hz display

As we already saw the global launches of Xiaomi Black Shark 2 and Nubia Red Magic 3 gaming smartphones this year, Asus also revealed that it will be launching the Asus ROG phone’s successor very soon. Asus already confirmed that the upcoming smartphone will be called Asus ROG Phone 2 and the launch date is revealed as July 23.

Asus ROG phone 2 will be launched in China on July 23 in partnership with Tencent Games the company behind many popular games like PUBG MOBILE and Call of Duty Mobile. After the launch in China, this smartphone will be launched in India in the coming months.

The company also released invites for the launch event in China, but the invitation did not reveal anything more about the specifications or features. Earlier Asus teased on Weibo that the ROG Phone 2 will come with the latest 120Hz display and will be launched in July 2019.

Earlier leaks also indicated that Asus ROG phone 2 got certifications from US FCC, Wi-Fi Alliance and Chin’s 3C Certification. It is also told that this smartphone is optimized and specially designed for games.

Asus ROG phone 2 may come with RAM up to 12GB and powered by the Snapdragon 855 processor. It is also expected that this smartphone will come with cooling and turbo systems and other features of a standard gaming smartphone.

To talk about the price, this smartphone may be priced around 4,399 Yuan (Rs.44,200) in China competing with the existing gaming smartphones Nubia Red Magic 3 and Black Shark 2 in the market. Just to recall the predecessor to this smartphone Asus ROG phone is priced at Rs.69,999.
