Chinese smartphone maker Coolpad has announced a new budget smartphone in home-country China. Dubbed as Coolpad Cool 12A, the new Coolpad smartphone is priced at 599 Yuan (approx Rs 6,500), but as an introductory offer, the company is offering it with a discounted price tag of 569 Yuan (approx Rs 6,100) in the beginning. Dream Black, Dream Blue, and Fantasy Silver are the three color variants of the Coolpad Cool 12A.
Coolpad Cool 12A Specifications
The Coolpad Cool 12A has 156.2 x 75.2 x 8.9mm dimensions and it weighs 202.5 grams. The device features a display of 6.3 inches. The IPS LCD screen produces an HD+ resolution of 1560 x 720 pixels resolution, a screen-to-body ratio of 93 percent, and a 19:9 aspect ratio. The phone sports a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and it has face unlock support as well.
The Coolpad Cool 12A has an 8-megapixel camera for capturing selfie shots. The dual camera housing of the smartphone has a 16-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The unknown Spreadtrum chipset that has Cortex-A55 CPU clocking at 1.8GHz and 1 Cortex-A75 CPU cores that clocks at 2.0GHz fuels the device with 4GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB of storage and a microSD card slot for additional storage. The device is backed by a 4,000mAh battery that supports fast charging via USB Type-C. The battery is claimed to offer 14-days standby time.
The Cool UI based Android 10 OS comes preinstalled on the Coolpad Cool 12A. It offers users with other features such as 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
